Well, for DK’s first attempt at a gluten-free, diary-free, vegan Peach Streusel “kinda like a cobbler or crisp” WILL make DELISH happen Scone …. it turned out pretty good! BUT, there is some room for improvement and that will happen for next Market. It will be a bit lighter and a bit more peachy!
DK dehydrated 2 pounds of local peaches (after peeling and pitting) for one batch of scones- I am hoping for those of you who tried them that each bite did have a nice peachy flavour. And…I have now shortened the name to…. lol….”Local” Peach Streusel Scone.
We will also have a “Local” Peach Blueberry Crisp for you to enjoy in this weeks menu!
And….there is more zucchini from the garden sooooo….Zucchini Lemon Poppy Seed Cookie is coming to Market- these will be gluten-free, dairy-free and delish!
OH YES….one more thing, we have an abundance of organic cherry heirloom tomatoes in the garden! For those of you wanting a basket you can order them from this weeks menu. The order tag is with the pizza’s!
