The seeds are a primitive legume similar to a peanut, and just as versatile. However, they have a unique property: they are peanut and nut-free (noted: DK uses nuts in the kitchen). For those who are sensitive to chic peas, the baru seed does not have the same type of sensitive reaction.

DK has been getting a lot of requests for a non-dairy/vegan chocolate chip cookie. So, I got to the task this past week and am super excited with the flavour and texture of this cookie. Sooo amazing!
Not only did DK take out the butter and eggs but we went grain free as well. You will not be disappointed!!!!
