The Haskap berry is dark blue in colour, naturally delicious and very good for you. It has been treasured and loved in Russia and Japan for its very unique taste and remarkable health properties. The flavour of haskap has been described as somewhere between a blueberry, a Saskatoon berry, a raspberry and DK would add black current as well!
DK purchased some from Baba Link Farm in Flamborough….they are right beside us at the Waterdown Farmer’s Market!
DK will be featuring them in a Lemon Poppy Seed based Mini Muffin with wild/organic blueberries and haskap berries.
